Overview

Design:
The machine is built in gantry-style to minimise errors accumulated by the interaction of the linear axes. Furthermore this design exhibits a significant increase in stiffness. In case of externally or innately stimulated oscillations a relative movement between the gantry and the machine base is the result. Out of this reason the laser head is placed on the gantry and a very high pointing stability of the laser beam can be ensured even during highly dynamical operations.

Rigidity:
For long-term static and dynamic rigidity both the machine base and the axes carriage in X and Y are built of high-grade granite. Thereby it was possible to realise a high temperature stability and an excellent attenuation of innately stimulated oscillations.

Generation of heat:
The active cooling of the linear drives, the control cabinet and all other heat sources with a water/water cooling device avoids local heat inputs into the system and guarantees the machine´s accuracy even during operation under full load. The cooling system does not emit heat to the environment and has no impact on the environmental climate control.

Light path:
Suited to the application the machine can be equipped adequately with different laser sources. The beam is guided in a pressurised and encapsulated beam path by beam deflection units. Analysis systems like power meters and a beam profiler as well as beam shaping components like polarisers and beam expanders are at your disposal.

GL.control

GL.control:

The GL.control system is set-up on two computing units. The user software is strictly separated from the NC software. This ensures its real-time capabilities and offers a comfortable control in the well-known windows environment.
With GL.control you have the possibility to control all sub systems of the machine and coordinate them. The operator of the machine can program all of the tasks in one single user interface.This approach supports the intuitive operation of the GL.3/5 thus decreasing the set up time and resulting in a saving in processing time.
